Exploration: economic dimension of climate transition and green growth

The transition to a climate-neutral and climate-resilient future will affect the economic structure and earning capacity of the Netherlands.

For some companies and sectors, the climate transition offers opportunities, for others a contraction will be inevitable. With the Schoof cabinet taking office, the Minister for Climate and Energy was succeeded by the Minister for Climate and Green Growth, with climate and economy explicitly linked.

The WKR started with an exploration of the scientific literature, previous opinions in this field and policy documents. The exploration will serve as a basis for the council's decision on a possible advice on this topic.
